Free virtual seminar on Wednesday 27 May on KAREN-enabled infrastructure for genomics researchers in New Zealand.
The 'Integrated Genomics Resources for Health and Disease' project has developed tools to securely manage, analyse and visualise microarray data within New Zealand. This service allows easy access to bioinformatic tools and the enables enhanced collaboration opportunities between researchers. Most resources developed as part of this project are now available through the Integrated Genomics portal
In this free virtual seminar, Drs Chris Brown and Mik Black from the University of Otago will talk about the development of these resources for the genomics community and what they will mean for human health and disease research.
Nick Jones, Director of BeSTGRID, will also talk about how BeSTGrid has been working with New Zealand bio and geo science researchers to develop and deploy research services. Nick will give an update, describing how these communities are working to develop plans for 2009 / 2010.
This project was awarded funding through the KAREN Capability Build Fund.
