Projects

In addition to managing our network day-to-day, REANNZ is constantly planning for and evolving our network and services in response to member use and need. Here are some of our current and more recently completed projects.

The new network

The project to develop the next version of the network, to be undertaken over the next 3 years, will ensure that the network remains advanced.

ITP Connect (complete)

The ITP Connect project extended the geographical reach of our network, expanding the network to more regional Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics.

Remote site connectivity

The government provided funding to assist at least two remote Core Member sites connect to the network.

Capability build fund (complete)

The Capability Build Fund was a one-off fund of $4.8m to support our core members to build capability and awareness of REANNZ's network

National education network (complete)

The National Education Network (NEN) connects schools and content and service providers to REANNZ's network to enhance the use of technology and ultra-fast broadband to deliver great learning outcomes.
