REANNZ has developed Partner policies that are in line with KAREN's architecture, principles and Network Access Policy.
We have three classes of Partner and an additional class of supporting organisation (network aggregators).
All types of Partners must become KAREN members through a formal contracting process with REANNZ. There are different commercial arrangements for each partner class.
Content and service partners and network aggregators must meet the required standards as laid out in the current versions of the relevant policies (see below). By doing so, they will be considered Accredited and able to use KAREN Accreditation Marks as part of their sales and marketing activities.
Organisations (other than Members and Associates), as approved by REANNZ, for purposes that are substantially or materially related to the following purposes (as under our Network Access Policy, section 3(a) :
Research and education partners can access KAREN for these purposes. They are not allowed to use KAREN for their other business activities.
Service & Content Partner policy
Any supplier organisation (other than Members and Associates) that wishes to provide services to Members or Associate
Members or REANNZ, as approved by REANNZ. This classification of partner is setout in section 3(c) of our Network Access Policy.
Network aggregators can provide accredited connectivity services, as set out in the policy, to any KAREN Member or Associate Member or Partner, as set out in our Network Access Policy.
Organisations wishing to conduct technical trials or pilots on KAREN. Such activity is an acceptable use of KAREN under section 3(b) of our Network Access Policy.
