Wireless security -A Review of Actual IEEE 802.11 Deployment Practices

14 May (today), 3pm-4pm (NZ time)

David Ross from the Information Security Institute and Faculty of Information Technology, Queensland University of Technology will discuss the difference between theory and practice — between WEP, WPA, WPA2, IEEE802.11i, RSN and TSN — and their application in private, commercial and government environments.

The intended audience for this talk are wireless and wired network engineers, network security staff, network managers, IT Directors.

Video Room Design Essentials

19 May, 6pm-7pm (NZ time)

Ulrich Schwenn from the Computing Center Garching of the German Max-Planck-Society, will discuss the evaluation of customer needs, consulting, planning and supervising of installation of high quality multimedia & videoconferencing solutions from small meeting rooms to university lecture halls, with emphasis on specific demands of multi-site organizations.

The intended audience for this talk are Audio Video and IT staff responsible for delivery video conferencing services on campus.
