As mentioned in a previous news story, REANNZ, Victoria University and Google are collaborating to deliver a workshop that will draw attention to OpenFlow, which is a method of implementing Software Defined Networking (SDN).

We’re very pleased to announce the launch of REANNZ Internet, which delivers the entire Internet to our members at a substantial cost saving.

Changing Our Website

Over the next few months you may start to notice a few changes with the REANNZ website. We’re just starting a process that should result in making it easier to find the information you need, and making that information more easily understood.

KVCS - software upgrade to version 7.7

The software behind REANNZ’s video conferencing service was upgraded and thoroughly tested on Friday 10th February. The upgrade was a success, and according to the specialist who did the work, “as expected, it’s all looking good.”

NZNOG through REANNZ eyes

REANNZ staff members Desi Ramoo (Member Engagement Specialist) and Sam Russell (Network Support) both attended the New Zealand Network Operators Group (NZNOG) conference held in Christchurch on the 26th and 27th of January.

This year, the New Zealand Network Operators Group (NZNOG) conference will be broadcast online to members via KAREN. The annual conference will be held in Christchurch on Thursday and Friday the 26th and 27th of January – just a week from now.
