National education network trial

This trial is connecting schools, polytechnics and content and service providers to KAREN. It will showcase the educational benefits of advanced connectivity and test the architectural principles of the National Education Network (NEN).

About the National Education Network trial

Schools, institutes of technology and polytechnics, content and service provider and the Ministry of Education are connecting to KAREN as part of the NEN trial.

This trial will allow REANNZ to test the NEN architecture design and demonstrate better value and greater choice in services and content for the education sector of New Zealand.

REANNZ is leading this trial on the behalf of the Ministry of Education, Tertiary Education Commission and the National Library.

Timeframes

The trial is currently underway and will run until mid December 2008.
