JISC Conference 2007 Highlights

Vicki Lindsay, Communities Assistant, REANNZ, 26/03/2007 12:00am

The annual conference of the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) was held in Birmingham on 13 March. JISC funds a range of ICT services and programmes to support education and research, including JANET, the UK equivalent of KAREN.

Papers and presentations from the conference are now available on-line. There is some really useful material here of interest to the KAREN community.

Check out the material from the sessions 'Why have a JANET connection?’ and ‘Virtual Research Environments in a real research world’, to get a flavour of the richness of digital content and the capabilities of virtual research environments made available via advanced networks.
