Victoria University of Wellington is hosting the International Conference 'Managing Identity in New Zealand: User-Centric Identity in the 21st Century', Wellington, 29-30 April 2008.
The conference will focus on the development and future directions of identity management (IdM) in New Zealand, and its wider implications for users, with particular reference to the introduction and use of new digitised forms of IdM. A major issue for future IdM will be establishing user-centric IdM: individuals’ ability to control the (digital) representation of their identity and its potential uses.
Interested participants are invited to submit abstracts for management, case study or policy papers, research papers, or student research papers. Contributions do not need to exclusively focus on New Zealand. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following:
