Free virtual seminar on Wednesday 29 July on KAREN-optimised tools and services for bioinformatics in NZ.
Research in the biosciences is undergoing a transformation as a result of huge amounts of information generated in genome projects, and increasingly depends upon bioinformatics for the effective organisation and analysis of such data and management of experiments.
In this free virtual seminar, Allen Rodrigo (The Bioinformatics Institute) and Steven Stones-Havas (Biomatters Ltd) will describe the features of the NZBioGrid - workflow and computational software and applications, enabling researchers in New Zealand to access and analyse biosciences databases from their desktop.
This seminar is being held via video conference, using the KAREN video conferencing bridge, 10:00 - 11:00am Wednesday 29 July 2009.
This project was awarded funding through the KAREN Capability Build Fund.
For more detailed information on the programme and instructions for joining this video conference see the eScience showcase event listing on the KAREN website.
