The APAN Fellowship Programme provides grants to encourage student participation in APAN meetings. Fellowships are offered on a competitive basis, to be chosen from participating economies in APAN.

Fellowship application procedure

Applications should be made in the prescribed format which can be downloaded from http://www.apan.net/committee/fellowship-application.xls.

Send the completed application form to with "Fellowship Application" in the subject line.

Applicants involved in paper presentations will be given preference. Applications must be made in the prescribed format to be considered. Submissions made after the deadline will be rejected.

What the fellowship program fund covers

Fellowship covers the following items listed below:

• Registration fee - access to all sessions/workshops/tutorials
• Accommodation - 4 nights
• Food - 4 days
• Local transportation - to/from Queenstown airport and accommodation

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate should be citizen of a participating country/economy in the Asia Pacific region
• Candidate should not be more than 35 years of age as on the last date of receipt of his / her application
• Candidate must belong to University/Research & Development Community/Non-Profit organisation
• Candidate must be endorsed by his home APAN Primary/ Associate Member entity.

Announcement of fellowship program - 17 March 2008
Fellowship application deadline - 15 May 2008
Announcement of selected fellows - 10 June 2008
Email acknowledgement from fellows - 17 June 2008
Late date for bank draft (refundable) - 1 July 2008
26th APAN meeting - 4-8 August 2008

Notes

1. Airfare is NOT provided
2. Fellowship is NOT transferable
3. Accommodation will be twin sharing.
4. Four nights [CheckIn:3 Aug and CheckOut: 7 Aug] will be paid by the Fellowship Program. Fellows must pay for additional nights by themselves.
5. Fellowship will also include the Refreshment/Lunch/Dinner for the days of the meeting.
6. Fellows are also entitled for the Welcome Reception and Banquet.
7. In case of no confirmation of acknowledgement, another waiting list fellow will be selected and your award of fellowship will be cancelled.
8. Selected fellows do not required to registered separately, they will be registered automatically.
9. To & Fro (Hotel and Airport) travelling allowance is also provided after arrival.
10. Fellows accommodation-Pinewood Lodge.
11. Fellows must present passport for the purpose of identification on the arrival.
