November saw us reach a new milestone in the use of KAREN, with total traffic volume exceeding the 300 Terabyte mark for the first time. This is a great increase on the already impressive achievement of over 200 Terabytes of traffic every month from July.

The use of video conferencing between our members and internationally for education and research is accelerating at an incredible rate. During November you used the KAREN video conferencing bridge for 1,200 hours - that's 50 days worth - contributing to the increase in traffic levels. Keep an eye on our events page for further community events you can join via video conference.
While 300TB is a huge amount of data, traffic load on KAREN is sitting at an average of only 1%. So there are buckets of room on the network for you to keep doing more and different things.
